Laser dental therapy is a type of dental treatment which usually deals with detecting and treating dental problems such as:

• Kill bacteria in a cavities
• Decrease the number of bacteria in diseased gums
• Recontouring of gum tissue
• Preparing dental fillings
• Repairing dental fillings
• Treating tooth sensitivity
• Gingivectomies and other periodontal issues
• Canker sore treatment

Laser treatment is often used in conjunction with different dental instruments. It is also possible to not require the use of a drill or administer anesthesia during specific procedures.
