Dental crowns cover the tooth structure and add support for compromised or unaesthetic teeth.

A crown may be recommended to:

• Cover a weak and poorly shaped tooth to prevent further damage
• Cover a tooth that has undergone root canal therapy
• Cover and protect a tooth which is partially missing
• Restore a fractured tooth
• Improving cosmetic appearance; chipped, discoloured or non-symmetrical teeth
• restore a dental implant

Dental bridges are made up of two or more dental crowns fused together to bridge the gap created by one or more missing teeth. Bridges are supported by natural teeth or implants and are fixed.
